The global fresh vegetables industry was worth more than $895 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow at a 6% CAGR between 2024 and 2032, according to Global Market Insights. This shows that vegetables are not only extremely important to the global food supply but also to the global agriculture industry as a whole.

To determine the vegetables that are most widely consumed worldwide, we used data primarily from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAOSTAT Database). Complete data and statistics on exact consumption by vegetable are not available, so we focused our list on total production and availability. 10. Bell Peppers

Estimated Total Global Production: 38 million metric tons

With a global production of around 38 million metric tons, bell peppers are one of the most popular vegetables around the world. They are colorful, crunchy, and a great source of vitamins.
